Emu is a New addition to the Night Strike Tactical range. It has been asked what is the best Tactical knife. The founder of Spyderco once put it that the best tactical knife is the one you have when you need it.
Tactical knives take many forms, from folders to fixed blades. We believe that a Tactical knife should be a fixed blade full tang construction. Additionally the blade should be non reflective.have a handle that is durable and be able to do more than one job.
Emu has all of this the Blade made from 1084 High Carbon steel heat treated to 59 HRC(approx) has been acid soaked and stone washed to give it appearance that blends in and doesn’t reflect light.
The handle grips are Maple Richlite, a form of Micarta that is extremely durable and not prone to water damage set onto OD Green G10 liners. The handle has been given a rock texture to aid grip even when not wearing gloves. The grips are held with 4 OD Green G10 pins and 1 416 Stainless Steel pin and a lanyard tube.
The pommel has a flat exposed section of the tang giving you a striking surface, be that cracking open a nut shell or some other task.
The 8 inch long blade in a classic clip point style gives you reach and the ability to perform heavy cutting tasks.
The knife comes with a hand crafted leather sheath that has a unique belt attachment that enables the knife to be drawn easily without the need for a leg tie down, and holds the knife out slightly from the body to make drawing easier.
